Procurement Dashboard Design
At Hivebuy, a procurement platform, I worked on redesigning the main dashboard used by purchasing teams. I started by reviewing existing user feedback and analyzing click behavior. I noticed that the dashboard was mainly used for viewing data, and users had to navigate to separate pages to complete even the most basic tasks.
My goal was to transform the dashboard into a more functional and action oriented space where users could not only track procurement activities but also complete frequent tasks directly from the same view. This would reduce unnecessary page transitions and overall interaction cost.

I started by reviewing user feedback. Users often reported frustration around having to leave the dashboard to approve, reject, or follow up on procurement tasks.

To address the key pain points identified during research, I focused on turning the dashboard into a central action hub. I designed each feature with a clear goal: to reduce interaction cost, improve clarity, and allow flexibility for different team needs. After design changes;

Take Action Directly from the Dashboard
Instead of passive data, users can now approve or reject open requests directly from the dashboard. This reduces friction and supports more efficient decision-making.

Highlighting Urgent Invoices for Better Prioritization
To help users stay on top of time sensitive tasks, invoice due dates close to expiration are visually highlighted in red. This subtle UI cue aids task prioritization without overwhelming the interface.

Each Request Clearly Shows Its Status
Each request displays its real time status (Pending, Approved, Draft, etc.), making it easier for users to assess what needs attention without digging through different pages.

Recognizing that different teams prioritize different metrics, I added dashboard customization. Users can choose which modules to show or hide, tailoring the experience to their specific needs.
